He’s not forgetting Iran

Not long after (barely) being granted a fresh mandate by the American people, US President George W Bush is once again on the warpath, this time looking in the direction of the country whose regime he should have gone after in the first place: Iran. After all, Iran has already admitted to supplying Hezbollah with weapons, and is in a better position to develop (and deploy) nuclear weapons than Iraq ever was, and Iran’s increasing meddling in Iraq is bound to stir up trouble there.

This is not to say I’m for it, though. I’m not up to date on the issue and can’t really form a valid opinion… but his tendency to lash out at everything and everybody he deems a threat is frightening, to say the least. More on this after I’ve had more than four hours’ sleep straight :)

It’s important for people to know that I’m the president of everybody.

I’m also mindful that it takes a while for democracy to take hold. Witness our own history. We weren’t — we certainly were not the perfect democracy and are yet the perfect democracy.
