This post represents my personal opinion; sometimes it makes sense, often not. I reserve the right to edit/delete offensive comments, but I wouldn't mind a couple of politically incorrect statements here and there.
As Christmases go, I can’t wait for this one to. I don’t wonder why people aren’t exuding that holiday cheer I’ve always reeked of when the “-ber” months come around. The general sentiment I feel as 2004 comes to a close (and not a moment too soon) is one of “just let me get through another day, please.”
But enough of the negative vibes. From me, anyway. 2004 was also the year we finally got our band’s shit together and started playing more or less regularly, I met and actually had a relationship with her (for a too-short amount of time), found meaningful work, and made several good friends at the office. Never mind what happened after; the memories should be enough, for this ghost of Christmas’ past.
One of the most moronic of today’s young, ehrm, “talents”, is GameChannel GJ turned MYX VJ Iya Villania. I don’t know if it’s a character defect or if she’s just… slow… but she always seems to be saying unbelievably dumb things. All the time. Just to illustrate: she describes touch football as “…a popular sport in Australia. The game, which is considered as a safe alternative to Rugby, involves a ball, two teams and a goal.” Now I know why they call it the idiot board. She’s pretty hot, though
I finally figured out what lorem ipsum dolor meant. Or doesn’t mean, anyway. Typesetters apparently meant for the whole thing to be nonsensical in the first place, to take away the focus from content and into design. Hmmm. Anyway, they took a classic Latin piece by Cicero, De finibus bonorum et malorum (On the ends of the good and the evil), and jumbled the words up a bit. And here I thought it was a secret message subliminally telling me to worship the devil or something. Wotta let down.
Can things get any worse for Kobe? Apparently so. A week after he tried to publicly apologize to Shaq, the Diesel (or, as he calls himself, the Alpo of the NBA) shrugs it off and had some strong words of his own. This after the Karl Malone incident and getting into a word war with Ray Allen. The Heat-Lakers matchup on Christmas day is one of the few things I’ve actually looked forward to all year. This is gonna be good
